What we can offer you..........

Half an hour trek: A trek for young and old. The trek caters for children from two years of age as well as adults. Children who have never ridden a pony before can take the opportunity to do so on a lead reign with a member of staff. For children who have ridden before or for older more adventurous children they will be given the opportunity to learn hoe to con troll their own pony without a lead reign under the staff’s watchful eye! The adults will learn to control their own horse. The staff at the stables walk round the trek to aid the riders and to answer any questions. The trek goes through Whinfell Forrest, providing some of the best local views of the pennies and Lake District.

One hour trek:A trek for adults and the older child. This trek is for complete beginners through to intermediate riders, giving beginners a chance to ride for an hour, trekking deep into the picturesque Whinfell Forrest. The intermediate rider will be given the opportunity to split into a separate group of riders and incorporate a rising trot section in the trek. Experienced children will also be accepted on this trek.

One hour and a half: For the very experienced adult or older child. A fantastic opportunity to ride through Whinfell Forrest, while in breathtaking scenary The ride entails walk, trot and canter in a controlled fashion over varied terrain incorporating an optional log jump.

Please note that we do assess all of our riders on ability and suitability to that particular horse before leaving the stables, to ensure utmost safety and enjoyment.
